The first gathering…

On November 29th, we officially kicked off Albanians in IT – UK Chapter at Level39 in Canary Wharf, a fitting way to mark Albania’s Independence Day. It was a room full of software engineers, product leaders, startup founders, and tech professionals.

Why This Matters

Albanians in IT is a space where ideas, knowledge, and support flow freely. The event brought together professionals from different industries and backgrounds who, despite working across the globe, share a common culture and drive.

From engineers refining their latest features, to founders navigating the startup grind, to AI researchers pushing boundaries, the energy in the room was real.

Key Takeaways from the Event

🔹 Shared Identity as a Strength – Our background and culture give us a unique perspective in the tech world. Leveraging this shared foundation helps us support each other professionally.

🔹 The Importance of Community – The event reinforced how valuable it is to have a trusted network of like-minded professionals who can share insights, experiences, and opportunities.

🔹 AI and the Future – Fatos Ismali’s discussion on AI and GenAI shed light on how these technologies are evolving and how they will shape our industry moving forward.
