For our last meetup of the year, we kept it simple: good conversations, real insights, and people eager to share what they’re working on.
This time, we had Arbi Bamllari, a UCL Mathematics graduate, walk us through some of the hands-on projects he’s been involved in back in Albania. From 3D printing technology to the Made in Albania drone (SKAITECH, 3DSKAI), it was great to hear how he and his team are pushing forward in a space that doesn’t always get much attention.
We also had Uljad Berdica, a PhD researcher at the University of Oxford, break down Reinforcement Learning, Predictive Models, and Game Theory in a way that actually made sense (a rare skill). His talk on Diverse Generations with LLMs sparked some interesting discussions about where AI is headed and how it affects different industries.
More than anything, this meetup was a reminder of why we started this in the first place:
- To hear from each other, not just about work, but about what we care about.
- To learn something new without feeling like it’s a conference or a pitch session.
- To build a space where we don’t just say “we should connect,” but actually do.
This is still the beginning, and we’re figuring things out as we go. But if this sounds like something you’d want to be part of, join us.
Looking forward to more meetups in 2025!
